培養學生面對未來的能力——上海楓葉舉辦Cultural Fair文化節
With the arrival of spring, students of Maple Leaf School Shanghai Jinshan District held a series of cultural activities on April 6th, organized by English Department teachers.
文化節介紹
文化節是學生以小組為單位,在老師的指導下選定一個國家,從飲食習慣、宗教文化、服飾特征、建筑風格、人文風情等全方位了解這個國家,并通過A1尺寸的海報來展示他們所選國家的文化。每個小組在場館內都有一個展位,可以呈現小組合作制作的海報和代表國家的文化特色,并在展出上向參觀的老師及低年級學生用全英文介紹。過程中,小組同學進行分工協作,確定方向、搜尋資料、整理歸納、設計排版、打印粘貼、美化調整和現場解說。
In the run-up to the fair, groups that choose different countries usually use A1 size posters to show the culture of their chosen country. Through drawing, writing and pasting, the charm of national culture is displayed on exquisite posters.
文化節現場
在文化節現場,同學們人手一本passport,可以在77個小組代表的國家中選出要旅行的國家,并邀請對應小組的負責人在自己的護照上簽上國家名。同學們可以品嘗各個小組制作的國家特色美食,伴著特色樂曲的節奏,還有特色游戲,不論老師、同學去到哪個國家,在國家展位上的人們總是熱情的招待他們,用游戲或是問答等方式讓參與者感受國家風土人情,同學們都沉浸在文化交流的氛圍中。
Participants are given a passport, which requires them to choose from 77 countries and invite the person in charge to sign their name on the passport. At the fair, we could taste local dishes and food prepared by various groups. Accompanied by the rhythm of distinctive music, students were immersed in the atmosphere of cultural exchange.No matter which country the teachers and students went to, the people in the national booth always treated them warmly. They used games, questions and answers to let the participants feel the local customs of the country.
文化節宗旨
文化節是楓葉世界學校課程育人理念的集中呈現,楓葉培養的不是考試的機器,而是能適應未來真實社會發展的人才。無論未來如何變化,協作能力、信息搜集能力、審美能力、演說能力都將是一個人才的底層操作系統的關鍵構成元素,楓葉文化節正是在打造學生面向未來的底層操作系統。學生參加文化節需要一個周期的訓練,學生的操作系統也得到了相應的進化。不獨文化展,楓葉學生日常的課程、作業的設計、多樣的活動都是為了讓學生既能拿高分,也要有高能。
Cultural fair is a meaningful activity that contributes to the development of campus culture and the overall cultivation of students. It helps us to understand the reasons why people from different cultural backgrounds develop different behaviors. We are looking forward to the next cultural Fair!
